Teaser Trailer/Campaign

A teaser trailer is for a upcoming film which is released long in advanced of the films actual release so to "tease" the audience, its made less to tell the audience of the films content but to simply let them know of the up coming film.

A great example of a teaser trailer is The Dark Knight Rises as it does a great job of 'teasing' its audience it does not give much of the film away but shows the some main characters that the audience will recognize and some which are newly introduced which draws in the audience as they are interested in this new unknown character.
